YYCNow’s Adoptable Pet of The Week

Sophie was brought to Calgary Humane Society as a stray dog that was being used as a target for paintball shooting practice. This young dog herself soon gave birth to nine puppies and with the help of a great foster family was able to nurse them, care for them and watch as they each found their forever homes.

Now this sweet girl is desperately seeking a forever family of her own. Because of her struggles early on Sophie is experiencing a lot of separation anxiety right now and needs to go to a home that is able to work with a higher needs dog. Sophie is  looking for an experienced family who can give her the active and structured home she needs. This means daily walks – no slacking! All the noise and commotion that often comes with younger kids are a bit overwhelming for Sophie, so teenagers are more her demographic

Even though her manners aren’t the best yet, Sophie is a sweet dog who really just needs a safe place to call home. Please help us find her pawfect family by sharing this girl’s story!
