The tornado warning issued by Environment Canada has ended for the city of Calgary. A severe thunderstorm watch still remains in effect. The weather alerts were issued a day after a fierce storm spurred tornado warnings in Rocky View Country near the outskirts of Calgary.

In addition to the funnel cloud, a severe thunderstorm was capable of producing golf ball sized hail, making it a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation.
