Calgary, it’s a special season once again – the Stampeders have made it!

Football fans can look forward to watching the Stampeders battle the Ottawa Redblacks for the 104th edition of the Grey Cup in Toronto on Sunday.

With the coaching staff opting to rest their first-string players during the final regular season game, they decided not to try breaking a league record for points in a season; they’ve got their sights set solely on this year’s championship. The BC Lions certainly felt Calgary’s presence during Sunday’s Western Final, delivering a well-rested 42-15 shutdown and the praise of fans throughout the country.

This year marks the Ottawa Redblacks first back-to-back journey to the Grey Cup finals, stopping a massive comeback drive to beat last year’s champions the Edmonton Eskimos in a 35-23 Eastern Final upset.

Experts are weighing in that the Calgary Stampeders are the heavy favorites to bring home the win and more importantly that lovely Grey Cup trophy that we’ve been fighting for since June.

What do you think Calgary – can we pull it off?

Here’s hoping!
